The equestrian community is really heartbroken over the little girl who was murdered in the Sandy Hook masacre because while she was promised a pony, she didn’t live long enough to reach her dream.
So, here’s my suggestion.
Be heartbroken for her, her family, the terrible, senseless loss… But instead of posting about it and then going about your day… do something for the kids who are here, still alive.
There are kids begging for the chance to be around horses. Take one under your wing. Bring them to the barn, teach them what you know. Share your horses, your time, your safe haven.
Share the joy.. not everyone’s parents can afford to promise them a pony when they turn 10 but if YOU have a horse, YOU have the opportunity to share the joy with them anyways.
Consider this my Christmas wish. Share your horses.
it’s not Christmas but I’m bringing this back because I really think it’s important to remember.
